Christina and I started off the morning packing, preparing for our departure. Christina was so stressed about not being about to fit everything in her luggage. Being a regular traveller, I've learnt how to pack smartly. So I helped her tetris her things into her luggage. I apply the roll-your-clothes technique and it works every time. I successfully packed Christina's luggage fitting everything perfectly and neatly. I also packed my bag which wasn't a problem because I didn't buy anything during my time in Bali besides the two pairs of sandals that doesn't take up much room anyway.
Timo came around and we went and got lunch for everyone - nasi goreng - the usual. Being in Bondalem there isn't really many choices to choose from when it comes to lunch time. Dinner is a little better as we have an extra 2-3 dishes to choose from.
I wanted to do something different and fun at school today. I brought some children music CDs with me. I wanted to do a music lesson with the classes today. So I chose 'Head, shoulders. knees and toes'. We wrote the lyrics on the board and taught the kids how to sing it. We didn't need to teach them where each body part was as they knew this already. After a few rounds of singing it, the students remembered the easily. We tested the students by asking them to come up one by one, in pairs or groups and they sang the song out loud without the music playing. My favourite student is in the first Wednesday class, I asked for him to take a photo with us but he was extremely shy about it. I found this rather cute. So he took a photo with us with his friend.

We did the same thing with the second class. The little girl in the blue checkered dress was extremely smart. She memorised the song quickly. She also came up and tested another student to see whether he knew where each body part was. They did extremely well. These students are very quick learners and it was very interesting to teach them this song. I was able to see that everyone was enjoying themselves.

They are having a little farewell party for Christina and I tonight. For dinner, we treated ourselves to nasi goreng, spring rolls and deep fried vegetables. We bought 50 cakes for our guests and set up speakers to pump up the music for the night. Check out the water bottles I've collected over the month in Bali. I have never drank that much water in my whole life. But drinking 3-4 litres a day, I can actually feel the difference. I'm feeling great. Water is very good for you, especially when you're constantly sweating throughout the day in such warm heat.
I told Gede that I wanted to drink arak (Balinese traditional spirit) so he arranged for a bottle of arak mixed with lime and honey - this was delicious and we finished the bottle so quickly. We also had beers - bintang to keep ourselves hydrated throughout the night.
I haven't ridden a motorbike in years. When we ran out of the arak, Potok and I went to buy some more from a house within the village. I rode the bike there in the crazy darkness and through the jungle. I thought I'd be rusty due to the fact that I haven't ridden for years, but I did really well. The manual bikes in Bali are a little different to the sports bike we ride back at home. But I picked it up quickly. We bought another 1.5 litre of straight arak for only 30,000 rupiahs ($3.20) - such cheap alcohol. I was laughing when I had to pay the lady. We had to bring our own bottle to fill up. On the way back, we bought some sprite to mix with the arak. I really wanted to mix it with the lime and honey but there was no way we were able to find that at that hour of the night.
Timo has never ridden a motorbike before, so we took Komung Eddie's bike for a spin. I taught him how to ride it and for a first timer - he did very well. Komung Eddie's bike is a little older than Potok's. I much prefer Potok's bike. It sounds more safe to ride. haha. We had a great night drinking, dancing and singing. Christina drank a little too much and threw up in our mop bucket. Poor darling. Gede was such a sweetie. He took Christina for a spin on the bike to get some fresh air - this helped a little. When they got back, we tucked Christina into bed as she was in no shape or form to continue drinking. Komung Eddie got completely wasted to the point that he was foaming from his mouth, it was extremely scary so Gede dropped him home with Christina sitting at the back on the bike holding Komung Eddie up - tragic. Julia and I stayed up taking for a while before realising that we had to get up in an hours time to do our dolphin tour.
Good night world.
XOXO
