Day 6 - Vietnam & Hong Kong : Goodbye Vietnam & Hello Hong Kong...

Good morning. I woke up at 5am this morning (still intoxicated hehe). I packed and also said goodbye to Yu Hun and Adam (hehe, I woke them up). I made my way over to The Boutique and said good bye to the newly wed. Its so sad saying good bye to this beautiful resort. I manage to capture the sunrise - the view is breathtaking. I wish I could take it with me.
So I am flying out to Ho Chi Minh City this morning. The taxi ride was so much cheaper this time round because the hotel staff organised a private driver for me. I only paid 370,000 dong as opposed to 500,000 dong. BARGAIN. Bye Hoi An, I will definitely come back one day.

My connecting flight was so close to my landing time. I had to run to go get my luggage and check in for my next flight to Hong Kong. I thought I will treat myself, so I booked myself in business class. How flash. hehe. I was served with champagne and a cold towel when seated. The seats are bigger, more comfortable and definitely more leg room. I was content. :) However, I was seated next to a snoring man. He snored the whole 2.5hrs. Grrrrrr... So here we are, I'm taking off. Weeeeeee. Bye Vietnam.

Yay, finally arrived in Hong Kong - my favourite city of all. After picking up my luggage I realised that I had left my important documents and airfares/tickets in the pocket of the seat in front of me. So I had to go over to Cathay Pacific baggage services to try to recover it. Thankfully, they found it. But I had to wait for about an hour to get it, so I told them I will be back another day to pick it up. Despite the lack of sleep, I was really excited to be in Hong Kong. I'm staying in an apartment in Causeway Bay. After dropping off my luggage I went to a japanese restaurant nearby and had my first bowl of ramen. Ahhhh, it was nice.

I managed to catch up on a bit a sleep before heading out to meet up with my girlfriend - Belinda who also happens to be in Hong Kong the same time as me. Woohoo. We went to a bar in Central called Shore and started our night with a few glasses of red wine. We sat out in the open terrace and it was beautiful and very relaxing. We then headed to a club called Azure for tequila shots and gin and tonics. I promise I am not an alcoholic. :)

Belinda is one funny girl. She actually brought with her a bottle of Hennessy in which she poured into a drink bottle. No one checked her when we entered the clubs, so we were outside in the smoking area pouring the hennessy in cups of cokes. CLASSIC!!!!!! We met some girls travelling from Norway, lovely girls. We exchanged Facebook details, took a few photos and cheers to a few cups of alcoholic drinks. The view from the smoking area of Azure is amazing.

It was rather a messy night with countless shots of tequila. We went bar hopping throughout the night. We ended up at Le Jardine in Lan Kwai Fong (LKF), Drop, Club 97 and Buddha Lounge in the wee hours of the morning. Met some crazy party people and hung with them all night.

When I was in Drop, being the klutz that I am I wanted to lean back on what I thought was a wall. In fact, it happened to be mirrors - 1 meter away from me. Anyways, I fell right on my ass and spilt gin and tonic all over my face. OMG, it was terribly embarrassing. After leaving, I realised I had lost my watch, cracked the screen of my iPhone and inherited two massive bruises. Boo.. What a night. We ended the night/morning at 8am. We were both partied out.

Good Night world.
XOXO
